MK Ultra. MUSE. Madison Square Garden, New York, March 5, 2010. That’s my third time seeing Muse headline in New York. First Hammerstein in 2006, then MSG in 2007 (also saw them twice opening for U2 at Giants Stadium in 2009) and now they are at MSG in 2010, fully packed house, 360 degree stage, with seating behind the stage even. Very loud. Not much piano on this tour. The sole emotional chord they strike with me is making the metal heart beat. Bellamy as “The Showman” is up there now with, well, just about anyone. (An especially amazing feat considering he does not talk between songs.) More videos here.
